Elecrow ThinkNode-M5 is a high-performance multi-function device that integrates advanced wireless communication technology and various sensors.
The device is powered by the ESP32-S3 processor and supports Bluetooth connectivity. Users can easily configure and monitor it via their mobile phones.
M5 comes pre-installed with Meshtastic firmware. Combined with the SX1262 wireless chip, the device can efficiently send and receive LoRa signals.
ThinkNode M5 is perfectly compatible with the Meshtatic official App. Users can use the App to configure and manage device parameters, message communication, map and location sharing, network status monitoring, data recording and exporting, custom settings, etc.
The ThinkNode-M5 features a 1.54-inch EPD (Electronic Paper Display) that allows users to view data and device status in real-time. It is equipped with a 1200mAh rechargeable battery and can operate outdoors for an extended period.
The built-in GPS module of M5 ensures accurate positioning in any environment and can be used as an independent communication tool in the absence of network coverage or in emergencies to protect the safety of users.
The external LoRa antenna supports different frequency selection. The device adopts an integrated closed shell design, which is compact, easy to carry, and durable.
With a highly integrated design concept, ThinkNode-M5 integrates advanced communication technologies such as LoRa and GPS to achieve efficient connection and data exchange between devices. Whether in remote areas where cellular networks are not covered or in emergency situations, M5 can serve as a reliable independent communication tool.

Great little radio with a strong durable case. E-paper display works great in direct sunlight. Comes with GPS and a buzzer. Ready to run out of the box.
The product works quite well overall right out of the box! One thing I wish was easier is that it doesn’t seem to connect with a computer very easily (was not able to flash firmware), there’s no way to reset the device. I used the reset button at one point but it still was trying to connect to the wifi network I had originally programmed it with. I ended up having to use my phone hotspot with the wifi settings I had set for the node and then change the settings through the app. Once I did that, it has worked very well! Just be VERY careful if you use the connect via wifi feature. Very compact, light unit and has had great performance in a flat urban environment. Looking forward to trying it out at a festival or hiking :)
The phenomenology of Internet retail sales fraud, misrepresentation, and outright theft (for me) at this late juncture is debilitating: Therefore, I offer a word to the wise:
This is a rip-off. These theives expect unsuspecting customers who desire new forms of communication to beta test and analyze a defective radio. Lured in by the promises of foreign theives who willfully and intentionally misrepresent the fact that they intend to sell a defective product, have the unmittagatable gaul to expect unsuspecting customers to beta test their defective radio.....a radio which will not connect to your S.P. no matter what the protocal is.....period.....software or hardware.....another internet facilitated rip-off.
Ethically, all testing should fall under the aegis of quality control, long before the radio is sold on the retail market.

I have been testing and experimenting with the device,
it did not come with a manual.
I downloaded the application on the phone, And that found 2 other nodes in my area. But then the device found 1 or 2 other nodes in my area.
Trying to figure out what all the settings are used for and how to use the settings on the device.
