I bought 2 R1's unfortunately 1 failed after 1 week. After a few emails, a replacement was sent out (thanks). The device works well with a range of just under a mile, however take up in the UK is small. So, i have wired up an external aerial and will leave running to encourage others.
Device is working well but have had trouble flashing current firmware to device.
The R1 with external antenna is a great unit for getting started with Meshtastic and connecting to the mesh right out of the box. It has good range and outstanding battery life. The muzi case is really appealing to hold.

Nice product. I think I need more in depth instructions though.
